How to Get Glowing Healthy Skin in Winter

Posted by Halle Homel on

Winter is right around the corner, and with a change in weather, comes a change in your skin, and therefore, your skincare routine. Cold weather often means drier skin, so it’s important to start using more hydrating products during the winter months, so that your skin can still look its vibrant best. We’ve added so many amazing products this year that are just begging to be a part of your winter skincare routine, so let’s talk about how each of them can benefit your skin.

Add a Hydrating Cleanser

Since you’re gonna be wanting to add plenty of hydration anywhere you can get it, let’s start with your cleanser. Our new Aloe E Cleanser is fantastic for adding hydration right at the source, allowing you to cleanse your face while adding essential hydrating. Aloe is a perfect lightweight cleanser that allows your skin to gain that essential hydration it needs without clogging your pores, making this a perfect addition to your winter skincare routine.

Follow Up With a Moisturizer

Even if you’re using a hydrating facial cleanser, it’s a good idea to follow up with a moisturizer, especially if you’re washing your face or showering with hot water. Hot water can dry your skin out tremendously in the winter, so it’s essential to have a good facial moisturizer on hand. We love our Makai Marine Hawaiian Face Moisturizer for this. It’s lightweight and uses natural botanicals that are fantastic for your skin, including Hawaiian Spirulina, Kukui Nut Oil, and Coffee Fruit Berry.

If you’re looking for a good body moisturizer too, we can’t recommend our Kukui Body Lotion enough. It’s lightweight and uses naturally hydrating Kukui Nut Oil, allowing your skin to bounce back quickly after a hot shower this winter.

Incorporate a Lip Treatment

Lips are usually the first thing you’ll notice getting dry in the winter. Of course, you can use a lip balm like our Kukui Lip Balm, but for longer lasting hydration, you might want to use one of our Lip Treatments. Use our clear Lip Treatment overnight to wake up with freshly hydrated lips, or use one of our tinted Lip Treatments in place of lip gloss during the day. We even have a new Pumpkin Spice Lip Treatment for you to pick up before winter truly sets in.

Want to add some quick and easy hydration this winter? Try our Kukui Lip Balm!
