How to Moisturize Your Lips at Home

Posted by Halle Homel on

Winter is here, and that means your skin is bound to be feeling the effects of colder weather. Lips are likely to feel drier than the rest of your skin, so it’s really important to make sure you’re moisturizing your lips regularly. There are so many ways to keep your lips feeling nice and healthy throughout the winter, but these are our favorite methods, so that you can look and feel your best this holiday season.

Exfoliate Your Lips

The first most important tip for having healthy lips all winter long is to regularly exfoliate. It’s important to make sure you’re exfoliating often, but not every day. We recommend 3-4 times a week. We love our Sugar Lip Scrub for this, because it combines the power of Hawaiian Sugar Cane and Kukui Nut Oil, allowing for you to scrub any dead or dry skin from your lips while adding moisture back in while you do so!

Kukui Lip Balm

A great daily way to keep your lips feeling their best is to incorporate a lip balm. Our Kukui Lip Balm is fantastic for daily use and we even have one that includes SPF 15 if you’re into winter sports where you’ll be out in the sun. This lip balm contains kukui nut oil, which is our favorite natural moisturizer. This is also a great option to use after exfoliating or to carry with you during the day so that your lips can always feel fresh!

Try a Lip Treatment

Our favorite thing for moisturizing lips at home is our Kukui Lip Treatment. This lip treatment uses kukui nut oil but works like a leave-in conditioner for your lips. Leave it on overnight, or use one of our tinted lip treatments as a lip gloss and end up with perfectly moisturized lips at the end of the day. This is the best way to give your lips daily moisture, and is our favorite follow-up product to a good Sugar Lip Scrub.
